At Changi Airport Terminal 3 taking pictures with Dear and Family:)
So this was our first destination when we reached there.
Well, don't really know what's going on there though. Haha
So this was the next destination.
We took some train in the under tunnel.
Kinda lame because we are only sight seeing their lights in there.
Well, but it was kinda nice.
It took about 5-10 mins.
After we alighted the train, we came to this place.
Lots of nice buildings and their weather is so nice!
When the wind comes, it felt like air con.
I think the temperature there was 27 and below.
This is where we had our lunch.
It was an international kind of buffet with different cuisines.
Western, chinese, Japan.
And know what?
They have free flow of Haagen Dazs ice cream!
Though there were only 3 flavors haha.
I think it was $40SGD each person.
Totally worth it because there is free flow of liquors and wines as well!
This is our hotel for the first night!
Its call the Jumeirah Hotel.
I swear the whole place was dam nice.
Its a 5 star hotel.
And this hotel is actually very famous.
It's the world's first 6 or 7 stars hotel located in Dubai.
For the rooms in Dubai, it is gold plated and their service is really good.
Just that in Shanghai they don't speak English.
This is the room me and my sister shared.
This is the swimming pool in the hotel.
Before entering the pool, there is this pool of water which is dam cold.
But i don't get the whole purpose of it haha.
Inside the pool while you are swimming, there is music played in the water itself.
I find it really cool.
You will only hear the music when you are under the water.
And the base is there too.
Really relaxing.
This is where you can take a rest after having a swim.
There are towels provided everywhere.
Small bottles of drinks are provided also.
The pool actually closes at 10.30pm daily and open at 6am daily.
There is a 24hour gym just right outside the pool as well.
They had yoga rooms also.
Really big fitness corner.
This is the girl's changing room.
I swear I love it a lot.
This is how it looks like and it is really spacious inside.
The lockers.
The keys are provided to you upon arriving the fitness room.
This is the hot stone bath.
The water is fucking hot but feels kinda good when you are inside.
These are the ice room and fire room.
The ice room is at 7 degree and it's really cold inside there.
It would feel good going in here after the hot stone bath.
The fire room is actually just the normal sauna we have in Singapore.
This is where you take a shower.
There are shampoos and hair conditioner provided inside.
This is actually the lounge.
The whole place is really relaxing.
In between the gym is this nice pond here where you can rest or chat with you friends after working out.
The outside look of the hotel.
So we went to have some supper nearby the hotel!:)
Hi. Took a long time to post these pictures taken, damn.
Anyway, there are like tons more which I am lazy to upload. So I only uploaded the first day ones.
Overall, the trip was alright just that the tour kinda sucks.
Let's start from the weather and environment there.
The weather there was kinda chilling when we first went there.
I think it was at 25 degree?
When the wind was blowing, it felt like you just on the air con though.
The cleanliness is definitely not better than Singapore's.
They can litter and spit anywhere. But not that bad in Shanghai.
Just those in village which I don't remember the names haha.
I swear the people there talk like they are arguing with you.
They are like shouting instead of talking.
They were never friendly, especially the girls.
Instead, the guys there are more friendly and nice.
The girls there are like more fierce though.
The food there is alright only.
I thought their xiao long bao would had been awesome but apparently it sucks.
I think Din Tai Fung does better though.
One word to describe the food. SALTY
And you will always see a lot of rice.
I guess the people there are really strong by having so much rice in one meal!
And every meal there comes 1 bottle of 1.5 litre soft drink and a bottle of beer.
Basically the beer there are cheaper than their soft drinks.
So each time we want to exchange the beer into soft drinks, we need to use 2 bottle of beer to exchange 1!
So far, the places we went doesn't have a lot of street food.
And they doesn't seems to be nice also.
Oh wait, there was one.
Which me, my boyfriend and brother spent a lot of money on.
Amazingly, it just tastes dam good.
I wonder why also.
The seasoning and all, DAM NICE.
Thinking of it now actually makes me drool.
About the shopping there, the stuffs in the malls ain't cheap also.
For branded stuffs like Dunhill, LV, Gucci etc.
It's more expensive to buy from there.
Instead, Singapore actually cost cheaper.
So people who bought branded stuffs there are dumb.
The only brand that is cheap is Pull and Bear.
It's not cheaper by a lot but at least a $5?
Haha not much difference when you compare to one.
But it makes a big difference if you bought 10 items!
I love the streets there.
Which is our so called Pasar Malam or flea.
The clothes there are ridiculously cheap and nice!
They are all in trend! And on average, one cost about $5 or at most $6!
Of course they will first quote you a dam high price, like maybe 5 times more expensive?
So remember, every time you want to slaughter the price, cut it off by at least 50%!
The tour actually bought us to TaoBao Spree.
OMG, the people there are seriously like lions.
They don't treat you as customers.
They treat you like as if you owe them a few billions.
Their attitude seriously cannot make it.
And the price they quote, OMG.
From $60 you can actually discount to about $10.
So this is how exaggerating it could be.
Well, it's true that their stuffs there are nice and fashion but that shouldn't be the way they deal with business!
Some tips on how you could have discounts:
1. Show high DIS-INTEREST in the item that you like.
Let them think that with or without this item, it;s nothing to you.
If you show interest, they would not lower down the price because they know you like it.
It actually works after I tried out on a few of them.
2. Don't be afraid when they are angry or if they scold you.
It's normal. They just wanna earn a living. And they are really fierce.
3. Always quote a price 50% below the price they had given you.
4. If they really quoted a price that is incredulous, just show them attitude.
And one last thing, there might be people on the streets asking you to buy some fake branded goods.
Don't get cheated by them.
They don't own a shop and they are actually trying to bring you to their house.
By then, it might be a little difficult for you to reject them already.
So yup, more pictures on facebook:)
Me and my sweetheart are planning to go overseas again end of this year.
Still unaware of where to go to yet.
Would blog again soon!:)
